In Year 3 the children carried out an investigation to find out what makes up soil. They set up different trays with different materials in (banana skin, leaves, rubber). Year 3 got creative with paper tesserae, composing their own mosaics. They learned how Romans used mosaics to decorate the floors and walls of their villas with intricate designs.
