Year 4 classes have been learning how to scutch, heckle and spin their home-grown flax fibre into a ball of linen yarn. Pupils also learnt how Egyptian mummy bandages were made. Paul Henry the spinner/kilt maker will be helping the children to make a flax bandage in the style of the Egyptians.
