Fire Safety Workshops in Years 2 and 5

Last week both Year 2 and Year 5 had a Fire Safety Workshop with the London Fire Brigade. The children looked at the top 5 causes of a fire in the house and role-played different scenarios in the event of a fire. Did you know that cooking equipment is responsible for most fires in the home? The children learnt the importance of being prepared, with the first step being making sure you have a smoke alarm in your house. Ask your child how to get your own smoke alarms for free!
