Year 4 Eat Like Vikings!

Last half term Year 4 were learning about life in Viking Britain. Did you know that The Viking people ate a lot of bread and porridge? They would make porridge from barley, oats, buckwheat or millet. They then mixed berries and apples to add sweetness. During their gardening workshop the children used wheat from our rooftop garden to make their own porridge in the same way that the Vikings did a thousand years ago.
